The Pine River-Backus Tigers topped the host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league test.

The Tigers now have a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] for a non-league test on Thursday, October 5. Pine River-Backus will confront a Huskies team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Ogilvie (Ogilvie, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 11-6.

The Wolves (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Ogilvie (Ogilvie, MN). The Lions enter the non-league test with a 5-7 record.
