In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Philip Simmons Iron Horses volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the James Island Trojans.
The Iron Horses (14-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Landsharks come into the non-league challenge with a 15-2 record. In their last challenge, Oceanside Collegiate Academy beat Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Trojans meet the Cane Bay Cobras (Summerville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. James Island will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 2-0 league win over Stratford (Goose Creek, SC).
