The Buckeye Panthers got by the visiting Holy Savior Menard Eagles football team by a score of 27-20 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Vidalia Vikings (Vidalia, LA) in a 3A District 2 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Buckeye will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record.

The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oakdale (Oakdale, LA). The Warriors go into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Oakdale was edged by Marksville (Marksville, LA), 30-6, in a non-league challenge.
