Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) and the visiting Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV), saw Grafton's soccer squad knock off Lewis County by a count of 3-1.

The Bearcats (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV). The Eagles enter the Big Ten battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Robert C. Byrd tipped Preston (Kingwood, WV), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Minutemen battle the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Lewis County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Buccaneers enter the battle with a 7-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).
