The St. Paul Catholic Falcons edged the host Shepaug Valley Spartans soccer team by a tally of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next, the Falcons face the Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley game, on Friday, October 4. St. Paul Catholic will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Crusaders enter the game with a 9-1 record after their 9-1 league win over Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT).
The Spartans (0-12) will now prepare for their game against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Bears enter the Berkshire game with a 9-0 record. In their last game, Thomaston held off Gilbert (Winsted, CT), 6-1, in a league game.
