The Sun Valley Spartans football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers to 14 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weddington for a non-league test on Thursday, October 17.

With the defeat, Cuthbertson drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Mavericks come into the test with a record of 2-3. Marvin Ridge lost 16-7 in their recent non-league test against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)
