In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Burlington-Edison Tigers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Lakewood Cougars.

The Tigers (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynden (Lynden, WA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Lynden edged Blaine (Blaine, WA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Bayhawks come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA).
