The Lions now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Richwoods for a Big Twelve bout on Tuesday, October 8. Peoria will play a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Champaign Central moves to 3-9 on the year. The Maroons travel to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Mahomet-Seymour won 5-1 in their recent league bout against Charleston (Charleston, IL)
