In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Elk County Catholic Crusaders soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the DuBois Beavers.
The Crusaders (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Kane (Kane, PA). The Wolves go into the UAVSL Boys North outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Kane was edged by Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA), 6-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Beavers play the St. Marys Flying Dutch (St. Marys, PA) in a outing, on Monday, October 7. DuBois will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record. The Flying Dutch go into the outing with a 8-5 record after their 4-2 league win over DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA).
