In Thursday's league outing, the host Liberty Lancers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Pine Creek Eagles.

The Lancers (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO). The Cyclones enter the 5A/4A CSML Metro outing with a 7-2 record.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Steamboat Springs Sailors (Steamboat Springs, CO) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, October 5. Pine Creek will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Sailors enter the outing with a 3-4 record after their 2-2 league Rifle (Rifle, CO).
