The Norwood Pirates softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Laquey Hornets to 0 in the Pirates league win on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Buren for a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. Norwood will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Laquey moves to 1-16 on the season. The Hornets travel to Stoutland (Stoutland, MO) to confront the Tigers in a battle on Monday, October 7. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 13-8. Stoutland won 12-6 in their recent non-league battle against Tuscumbia (Tuscumbia, MO)
