In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Crescent City Christian Pioneers.

The Penguins (17-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Northshore (Slidell, LA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record.

Next, the Pioneers meet the Bonnabel Bruins (Kenner, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. Crescent City Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, LA).
