Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Beverly over Winthrop

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA) and the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), observed Beverly's volleyball team top Winthrop by a tally of 3-1.

The Panthers (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Danvers (Danvers, MA). The Falcons enter the Northeast contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Danvers beat Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth, MA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Vikings meet the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a Northeast contest, on Friday, October 4. Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Witches enter the contest with a 2-10 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to St. Mary's (Lynn, MA).
