The Christ the King Gladiators edged the host Providence-St. Mel Knights volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Gladiators confront the Northtown Pumas (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep game, on Tuesday, October 8. Christ the King will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Pumas go into the game with a 6-6 record after their 2-0 league loss to Cristo Rey Jesuit (Chicago, IL).

The Knights (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Sentinels go into the Chicago Prep game with a 15-10 record.
