Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the visiting Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), observed Lexington's volleyball team top Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley by a count of 2-0.

The Minutemen (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-Point (Cullom, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, Tri-Point was knocked off by Beecher (Beecher, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Falcons meet the Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 7. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 10-11 record after their 2-0 league loss to Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL).
