The Lapeer Lightning edged the host Powers Catholic Chargers volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Lightning confront the Lake Fenton Blue Devils (Linden, MI) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 7. Lapeer will attempt to advance on its 17-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 13-12 record after their 3-1 league win over Clio (Clio, MI).
The Chargers (4-9) will now prepare for their game against Dow (Midland, MI). The Chargers go into the Saginaw Valley game with a 8-10 record. In their last game, Dow was edged by Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI), 3-2, in a league game.
