Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Minden Whippets (Minden, NE) and the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), observed Minden's volleyball team top Sandy Creek by a count of 2-0.

The Whippets (25-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ogallala (Ogallala, NE). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 16-5 record.

Next, the Cougars battle the Deshler Dragons (Deshler, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Sandy Creek will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Dragons enter the contest with a 10-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Shelton (Shelton, NE).
