Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) and the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), observed Squalicum's volleyball team top Mt. Baker by a count of 3-0.

The Storm (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA). The Cubs enter the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Sedro-Woolley was knocked off by Sehome (Bellingham, WA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Mountaineers meet the Orcas Island Vikings (Eastsound, WA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 5. Mt. Baker will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Coupeville (Coupeville, WA).
