In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the West Marshall Trojans.

The Norsemen (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Prairie City-Monroe beat Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans meet the Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 7. West Marshall will attempt to improve on its 9-18 season record. The Rams go into the battle with a 10-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Carlisle (Carlisle, IA).
