Next up, the Flames confront the Hayden Lobos (Winkelman, AZ) in a 1A - East game, on Tuesday, October 8. Valley Lutheran will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Lobos go into the game with a 2-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Superior (Superior, AZ).

The Miners (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Ray (Kearny, AZ). The Bearcats go into the 1A - East game with a 5-18 record. In their last game, Ray went down by Cicero Prep Academy (Scottsdale, AZ), 3-0, in a league game.
