Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Valley Lutheran Chargers (Saginaw, MI) and the visiting Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI), observed Valley Lutheran's volleyball team top Yale by a count of 2-0.

The Chargers (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Durand (Durand, MI). The Railroaders enter the non-league contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Durand was knocked off by Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.

With the loss, Yale drops to 8-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Birch Run (Birch Run, MI) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 3. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 22-4. Birch Run won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI)
