The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs walloped the visiting Albia Blue Demons football team by a score of 54-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs play the Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) in a 2A Group 7 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 70-19 league loss to Pella Christian (Pella, IA).
The Blue Demons (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Centerville (Centerville, IA). The Big Reds/Redettes go into the 2A Group 7 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Centerville bounced South Tama County (Tama, IA), 34-13, in a league test.
