Iowa High School Football - Ames nudges Lincoln

In Friday's league battle, the host Ames Little Cyclones football team scored a tight 28-21 win over the Lincoln Lynx.

With the win, Ames advances its record to 1-5 on the season. The Little Cyclones host Ankeny (Ankeny, IA) to play the Hawks in a 5A Group 3 battle on Friday, October 10. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Ankeny lost 30-21 in their recent league match against Johnston (Johnston, IA)

Coming up next, the Lynx confront the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) in a 5A Group 3 match, on Friday, October 10. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Roughriders go into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 47-6 league loss to Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA).
