The Dragons (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA). The Black Raiders enter the 5A Group 3 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Sioux City East gained a win over Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA), 47-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Hawks confront the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) in a 5A Group 3 contest, on Friday, October 10. Ankeny will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Little Cyclones go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 28-21 league win over Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA).
