Iowa High School Football - Maquoketa crushed by Assumption

The Assumption Knights walloped the host Maquoketa Cardinals football team by a count of 42-7 in Friday's league test.

The Knights now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wahlert for a 3A District 3 test on Friday, October 10. Assumption will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 17-12 league loss to Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Maquoketa drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to face the Stormin' Pointers in a 3A District 3 challenge on Friday, October 10. The Stormin' Pointers go into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Center Point-Urbana lost 34-14 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA)
