Nebraska High School Football - Bayard can't hold off Hyannis

Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Bayard Tigers (Bayard, NE), 30-26 in a league match.

The Longhorns (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Brady (Brady, NE). The Eagles come into the D2 District 9 (8 Man) battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Brady was tipped by Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE), 45-20, in a league battle.

The Tigers now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maxwell for a D2 District 9 (8 Man) match on Friday, October 10. Bayard will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 34-32 league loss to Mullen (Mullen, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-3.
