The Thornwood Thunderbirds were victorious over the visiting Bloom Blazing Trojan football team by a score of 28-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds face the Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) in a Southland challenge, on Friday, October 10. Thornwood will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 47-0 non-league loss to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL).
The Blazing Trojan (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL). The Kays enter the Southland challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Kankakee ran past Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL), 64-24, in a league challenge.
