The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Calvin Christian Squires (Grandville, MI) and the host Bloomingdale Cardinals (Bloomingdale, MI), witnessed Calvin Christian's football squad knock off Bloomingdale by a tally of 27-6.

The Squires (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Fennville (Fennville, MI). The Blackhawks enter the Southwestern Michigan III (8 Man) contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Fennville was toppled by Our Lady of the Lake Catholic (St. Joseph, MI), 58-22, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cardinals battle the New Buffalo Bison (New Buffalo, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 10. Bloomingdale will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 48-40 league win over NorthPointe Christian (Grand Rapids, MI).
