In Friday's league game, the Eureka Tornadoes (Eureka, KS) football squad knocked off the visiting Bluestem Lions (Leon, KS), by a margin of 30-12.

The Tornadoes now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Franklin for a Flint Hills outing on Friday, October 10. Eureka will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 40-18 non-league loss to Central Heights (Richmond, KS). The Falcons record now stands at 0-5.
