Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Christian Brothers Purple Wave (Memphis, TN), 24-17 in a league battle.

With the win, Briarcrest Christian improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Saints host Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN) to play the Eagles in a Division II-AAA West battle on Friday, October 10. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 6-0. Brentwood Academy won 35-0 in their recent league battle against Memphis University School (Memphis, TN)

The Purple Wave now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Lipscomb Academy for a Division II-AAA West battle on Friday, October 17. Christian Brothers will play a Mustangs team coming off a 20-14 league win over Father Ryan (Nashville, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.
