The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan Seahawks to 18 in the Fighting Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Fighting Cougars now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Baltic for a Big East test on Friday, October 10. McCook Central/Montrose will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-8 league loss to Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan (Emery, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
The Seahawks (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD). The Chargers go into the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Sioux Falls Christian toppled Vermillion (Vermillion, SD), 48-7, in a league challenge.
