In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Cameron Comets football squad scored a close 12-6 victory over the Colfax Vikings.
The Comets (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI). The Bulldogs enter the Lakeland match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser got by Cadott (Cadott, WI), 12-6, in a league battle.
The Vikings now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Boyceville for a Dunn-St. Croix battle on Friday, October 10. Colfax will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 42-7 league win over Spring Valley (Spring Valley, WI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-0.
