Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA), 35-10 in a league battle.
With the win, Church Point advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bears host Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA) to play the Panthers in a 3A District 4 battle on Friday, October 10. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 0-5. Pine Prairie lost 44-0 in their recent league battle against Northwest (Opelousas, LA)
The Bulldogs now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crowley for a 3A District 4 match on Friday, October 10. Iota will confront a Gent squad coming off a 20-18 league loss to Mamou (Mamou, LA). The Gent record now stands at 1-4.
