In Friday's non-league battle, the host Claude Mustangs football team scored a big 54-8 win over the Valley Patriots.

With the win, Claude improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Booker (Booker, TX) to play the Kiowas in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region I District 1 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 10. The Kiowas go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Booker won 46-42 in their recent non-league match against Follett (Follett, TX)

The Patriots (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lorenzo (Lorenzo, TX). The Hornets go into the 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 5 (6 Man) challenge with a 2-4 record.
