The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) and the visiting Collins Titans (Shelbyville, KY), witnessed North Laurel's football squad edge Collins by a count of 19-14.

The Jaguars (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern (Somerset, KY). The Warriors enter the 5A District 8 contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Southwestern was nudged by Pikeville (Pikeville, KY), 35-8, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Titans confront the Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY) in a 5A District 6 battle, on Friday, October 10. Collins will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the battle with a 5-1 record after their 52-12 league win over South Oldham (Crestwood, KY).
