Colonia Patriots (Colonia, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Edison Eagles (Edison, NJ), 21-0 in a non-league battle.

With the triumph, Colonia upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ) to play the Cardinals in a Big Central - Liberty Gold challenge on Friday, October 10. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Plainfield won 34-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin (Somerset, NJ)

The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ). The Trojans go into the Big Central - National Silver challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Thomas Aquinas went down by Paramus Catholic (Paramus, NJ), 42-14, in a non-league test.
