Kentucky High School Football - Highlands nudges Covington Catholic

October 3, 2025: Fort Thomas, KY 41075

In Friday's league match, the host Highlands Bluebirds football team scored a tight 31-28 win over the Covington Catholic Colonels.

With the win, Highlands advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Bluebirds travel to Elder (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 7-0. Elder won 24-16 in their recent league battle against Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH)

The Colonels now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Cathedral for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. Covington Catholic will play a Fighting Irish team coming off a 21-15 non-league win over Center Grove (Greenwood, IN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 5-2.
