Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team thwart the visiting St. Paul Flyers (Norwalk, OH), 30-21 in a league match.

The Cougars (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Western Reserve (Collins, OH). The Roughriders come into the Firelands match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Western Reserve defeated South Central (Greenwich, OH), 39-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Flyers confront the South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH) in a Firelands battle, on Friday, October 10. St. Paul will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Trojans go into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 39-0 league loss to Western Reserve (Collins, OH).
