Pella Christian Eagles (Pella, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA), 70-19 in a league battle.

With the win, Pella Christian improves its record to 1-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to South Tama County (Tama, IA) to face the Trojans in a 2A Group 7 challenge on Friday, October 10. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 3-3. South Tama County lost 34-13 in their recent league challenge against Centerville (Centerville, IA)

The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Mustangs go into the 2A Group 7 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Prairie City-Monroe triumphed over Albia (Albia, IA), 54-0, in a league test.
