The Des Moines Christian Lions football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Saydel Eagles to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Knoxville for a 3A District 5 test on Friday, October 10. Des Moines Christian will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 56-15 league loss to Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-5.
The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Cubs go into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Nevada was ripped by Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA), 26-18, in a league challenge.
