The McAlester Buffaloes football squad scored 38 points and limited the host Edison Eagles to 0 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Friday.
The Buffaloes now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host East Central for a 5A District 3 test on Friday, October 10. McAlester will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 59-0 league loss to Durant (Durant, OK). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-4.
With the defeat, Edison moves to 1-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Durant (Durant, OK) to face the Lions in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, October 10. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Durant won 59-0 in their recent league challenge against East Central (Tulsa, OK)
