  • California High School Football - El Capitan thwarted by Steele Canyon

    October 3, 2025: Spring Valley, CA 91978

    Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 35-13 in a league battle.

    With the win, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to meet the Matadors in a Grossmont - Hills match on Friday, October 17. The Matadors come into the match with a record of 5-2.

    Coming up next, the Vaqueros meet the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills match, on Friday, October 10. El Capitan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Highlanders come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 42-14 league loss to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA).
