In Friday's league game, the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) football team overcame the visiting Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX), by a tally of 49-22.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX) in a 2A-1 Region III District 10 game, on Friday, October 10. Elysian Fields will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 0-6 record after their 56-0 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
