North Carolina High School Football - Fairmont loses to South Columbus

October 3, 2025: Fairmont, NC 28340

South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC), 55-28 in a league battle.

With the win, South Columbus advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Stallions travel to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC) to encounter the Red Devils in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A battle on Friday, October 10. The Red Devils go into the match with a record of 2-4. Red Springs lost 40-36 in their recent league match against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)

Coming up next, the Golden Tornadoes meet the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A match, on Friday, October 10. Fairmont will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 2-4 record after their 34-7 league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).
