Louisiana High School Football - Franklin Parish knocked off by Ouachita Parish

In Friday's non-league game, the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) football team overcame the host Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA), by a tally of 42-14.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) in a 5A District 2 outing, on Friday, October 10. Ouachita Parish will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Bearcats come into the outing with a 4-1 record after their 28-12 non-league loss to Stephenville (Stephenville, TX).

With the defeat, Franklin Parish drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA) to clash with the Chiefs in a 4A District 2 contest on Friday, October 10. The Chiefs enter the contest with a record of 3-3. West Ouachita won 28-6 in their recent non-league contest against Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA)
