Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX), 84-49 in a league battle.

With the win, Franklin advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cougars host Eastwood (El Paso, TX) to encounter the Troopers in a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, October 10. The Troopers go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Eastwood won 42-28 in their recent league battle against Eastlake (El Paso, TX)

The Rams now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pebble Hills for a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, October 10. Montwood will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 49-7 league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 4-1.
