Louisiana High School Football - Franklin nips Patterson

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA) and the visiting Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA), witnessed Franklin's football squad edge Patterson by a tally of 36-34.

The Hornets (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA). The Panthers enter the 2A District 7 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Catholic - N.I. got by Lake Charles College Prep (Lake Charles, LA), 49-42, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lumberjacks battle the Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 10. Patterson will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 21-20 non-league loss to Loreauville (Loreauville, LA).
