In Friday's non-league match, the host Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen football squad scored a close 66-60 victory over the Highlands Blazers.
The Swordsmen (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Lucas Christian Academy (Lucas, TX). The Warriors go into the TAPPS Six-Man Division II District 3 (6 Man) battle with a 2-3 record.
The Blazers now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fellowship Academy for a TAPPS Six-Man Division II District 2 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 10. Highlands will play a Mustangs team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Harvest Christian Academy (Bartonville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.
