North Carolina High School Football - Gates County beat Perquimans

October 3, 2025: Hertford, NC 27944

The Gates County Red Barons football squad scored 14 points and limited the host Perquimans Pirates to 0 in the Red Barons league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Red Barons face the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A challenge, on Friday, October 10. Gates County will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Aces enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 51-7 league win over Camden County (Camden, NC).

The Pirates (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Redskins come into the Albemarle (AAC) 2A outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Manteo topped Bertie (Windsor, NC), 28-12, in a league outing.
