Connecticut High School Football - Naugatuck defeats Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic

October 3, 2025: Winsted, CT

In Friday's league match, the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds football squad scored a good 35-14 victory over the Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic Yellowjackets.

The Greyhounds (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT). The Spartans enter the Naugatuck Valley - Tier 1 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Waterbury Career Academy thwarted Kennedy (Waterbury, CT), 47-19, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets confront the Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Tier 2 battle, on Friday, October 10. Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Raiders go into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 39-0 non-league loss to Ansonia (Ansonia, CT).
